School Districts: Academic Behavioral Alternatives

School District Services

ABA currently operates five state-approved private special education day schools in Arizona. These schools have been developed in response to the identified needs of school districts for the purpose of providing special education placement and programming for students whose behaviors have become too complex to manage in a larger public school environment.

We focus on supporting the whole child through a combination of academic, social, behavioral, and therapeutic supports. We tailor the model to align with each individual student's needs, as defined in the Individual Education Plan (IEP); and, we use data to drive key decisions regarding students' ongoing abilities, performance, and need for special services. During the 2009/2010 School Year, ABA returned more than 35% of our Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disorders to Districts' Less Restrictive Environments (LRE).  To learn more about our results, click here.

Off-Site Student Service Solutions

ABA's Off-Site Campuses provide a full continuum of private day programming and related-services for students who are placed "out-of-district" through the IEP process.

On-Site Student Service Solutions

ABA specializes in the ability to effectively evaluate Districts' needs, and determine the level of student services or programming required to meet those needs. The ability to co-locate ABA's personnel, and tailor our programs relative to a District's identified needs, creates a unique opportunity for shared resources and collaboration which may not exist otherwise.
