Program Description:

Our Coolidge Campus provides district-based special education services for middle school and high school students attending the Coolidge Unified School District (CUSD) and surrounding Districts (upon review and capacity permitting).

The programmatic focus at ABA Coolidge includes specialized academic and behavioral supports for students identified with Emotional Disabilities, Autism, MIMR, MOMR, SMR, OHI, and Multiple Disabilities. The site has three (3) classrooms with a total student capacity of approximately 32, and staff-to-student ratios of approximately 1:3 dedicated to this population. Based on student need, our Coolidge program also offers life skills instruction, pre-vocational skill development, and community-based instruction opportunities.

Make up of the classrooms vary depending on age and disability:

Our first classroom serves 6th - 9th grades with a primary diagnosis of Emotional Disabilities.  Students in this classroom participate in an academic curriculum and work within a structured positive behavioral support classroom management system. The program includes specialized supports for students requiring both long-term services in interim alternative education services.

The second classroom serves 9th - 12th grades with mild to moderate disabilities, including Autism, MIMR, and MOMR.  Students in this classroom participate in a functional academic curriculum with opportunities for life skills and social skills instruction, vocational training, and community-based instruction.

The third classroom serves 9th - 12th grades with moderate to severe disabilities, including Autism, MOMR, and SMR.  Students in this classroom participate in hands-on, functional instructional activities geared toward pre-vocational skills, activities of daily living, and life skills. There is a strong focus on communication and sensory needs throughout all activities.

Individual and group counseling, as well as case management, are available to eligible students.

ABA Coolidge is conveniently located within Coolidge, adjacent to the District Office.
